1. Who We Are
O'Neil Beats ("we", "us", "our") is a beat-licensing storefront operated by the producer professionally known as O'Neil. You can reach us at produceroneil@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Email address — when you create a customer account, complete a purchase, or sign up for the Free Beat of the Week.
- Name — optional, used on your license PDF.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store full card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Push notification token — if you opt in to push notifications in our mobile app, we store an Expo push token so we can send you alerts about new beats, sales, and your Free Beat of the Week.
- Usage events — beat plays, favorites, and add-to-cart actions, used to power features like "Trending This Week" and to improve the catalog. These events are tied to your customer ID, not to advertising profiles.
- Standard server logs — IP address, user-agent, and timestamps, retained for security and abuse prevention.
2.3 What we do NOT collect
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
- We do not collect precise device location.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process orders and deliver the files you purchase (MP3, WAV, stems, license PDF).
- To send transactional emails (receipts, download links, license documents) — these are not marketing and you cannot opt out of them while you have an active order.
- To send marketing emails (Free Beat of the Week, new releases, sales) only if you have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every marketing email or by emailing us.
- To send push notifications if you have enabled them in the app.
- To detect fraud, abuse, and chargeback risk.
4. Email Marketing — Your Consent and Rights (CAN-SPAM)
We comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act:
- You must affirmatively check the marketing-consent box to receive promotional emails. The box is unchecked by default.
- Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address.
- Unsubscribe requests are honored within 10 business days (typically immediate).
- We do not use deceptive subject lines or false sender information.
To unsubscribe immediately, click the link in any of our marketing emails or email produceroneil@gmail.com with the subject "UNSUBSCRIBE".
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We share the minimum necessary information with these processors:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Supabase, Inc. — database hosting (orders, accounts, beats catalog).
- Vercel, Inc. — web and API hosting.
- Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) — mobile push notification delivery.
- Google LLC — file storage (Google Drive) for beat downloads.
We do not authorize any of these processors to use your data for their own marketing.
6. Data Retention
- Account & order records: retained for 7 years to comply with U.S. tax and accounting requirements.
- Marketing email subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe, then we keep a hashed record of your opt-out for suppression purposes.
- Server logs: 90 days.
7. Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account (subject to our legal retention obligations for completed orders).
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
If you live in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have additional rights including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, email produceroneil@gmail.com.
8. Children's Privacy
O'Neil Beats is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, store passwords hashed (via Supabase Auth), and rely on Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant systems for payment data. No system is perfectly secure; you use the service at your own risk.
10. International Users
O'Neil Beats is operated from the United States. By using our service from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribed customers.
